a dream, a vision

Spanish noble in 1400's ish with a younger boy they are off to talk to a native people they are known to be able to hold their breathes like ocean creatures they have their own religion they are there to show their superiority in all ways because of their faith and mondern way etc their is a caste of sorts in manner of what matter of head piece they wear those without one completely are the most advanced and are able to do super human like holding of breath as a whale the noble is of course the young boys master and is his apprentice in training they are their to challenge the native people they wait for the right person one who has no head piece a boat comes up with such a person and they talk the young boy is to go into their temple the place where they begin to learn how to hold their breath Goethe? it is a series of different paths underwater with little holes periodically to breath from but always with the option to get out from under (like underwater aquifers with the tops of it cut out from time to time to allow places to breathe as the water pushes them along the path of art) the native elder tells the little boy there are different levels of paths ones with longer distances between breathing holes and where breathing holes are smaller then others (so as less chance to breathe) while underwater the child is shown all this magnificent art from non traditional points of view and it causes him to hold his breath as he takes it all in all the beauty he has never known he barely makes it through but is changed by it he gets out of the temple and professes how superior their art was within the temple and the effects it has on him the noble tries to make excuses clearly not prepared for this outcome he asks the elder about possible doping of the water and the boy answers out of turn about how if it were so there certainly were no side or after affects least none he could speak to the noble knows when he is beat says something sort of harsh and leaves to speak with teh elder alone when they come back the noble looks for the boy amongst the crowded dock he tells the elder "there is still a boy i must slap" he finds the young boy waiting not wanting to leave now that he has seen and felt what he has he slaps the boy across the face and says "don't take this seriously" and walks away as he walks away the boy smiles broadly the salt sticking to his beard looking white and and older beyond his years he runs over to the elder who is waiting for him and so he starts his new life and new apprenticeship living a life he is now called to www.myspace.com/tattoosbygoethe
